If you're coming from the North (Pittsburgh area), Elkins is the last town before you reach the rural resort area. There is a Super Wal-Mart where you can stock up on groceries and fill up on gas.
If coming from the South (Greensboro/Charlotte), less than one mile south on Rt 219 at the Lewisburg exit of I-64 there are restaurants, gas stations, and a Super Wal-Mart. There is also an IGA after the traffic light in Marlinton about an hour north on Rt 219.
Finding the unit is very easy, from either the main entrance or the back entrance of Snowshoe mountain, follow the signs to Summit Condos (they are on the western ridge of the mountain). Summit Condos is a series of four buildings - just look for the one labeled "A." Unit 104 is closer to the right side of building A.
Cell phone coverage is almost nonexistent in that area. I believe AT&T is the only provider that gets a limited signal. There is a landline phone in the unit for local calls and emergencies.
